Club DJ and influencer Jellie Aw has formally filed a complaint with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against her fiancé, Jam Ignacio, whom she accused of assault. According to an ABS-CBN News report, Jellie went to the NBI office this Friday, February 14, 2025, to file a case against Jam after an incident of violence. Jam, who was the ex-boyfriend of actress and TV host Karla Estrada, was linked to the alleged assault that Jellie recounted in an interview after the complaint was filed.
Jellie reveals that Jam's extreme jealousy is the root of their frequent misunderstandings, which lead to arguments and violence. "He's very jealous, he magnifies even small things," said Jellie. He added, "Even at my job, when someone waves at me at a gig, he gets angry." According to Jellie, this excessive jealousy is the reason why their relationship ended in hurt.
Jellie described the horrifying incident where Jam assaulted her right inside the car. "He pulled my hair, then punched my face while driving," Jellie said. "I hit the windshield of the car. There was blood inside my eye, the bottom of my eye was swollen, my lip was cracked, and my tooth was broken. The wound on the side of my lip needs stitches." The intensity of the violence she experienced is clear in Jellie's story.
Jellie's friends also expressed support and concern for what happened to her. In the midst of the issue, some netizens noticed the apparently meaningful TikTok posts of Karla Estrada, Jam's ex-girlfriend, which may be related to the incident. The incident garnered attention from the public, which once again highlighted the serious impact of violence on relationships.
In her message to Jam, Jellie urged him to take responsibility for what was done to her. "I hope he grows up and faces what he did," said Jellie. Jellie's decision to file a lawsuit shows the importance of fighting abuse and seeking justice.
