In one fell swoop, Caselani – known maker of retro Citroen bodykits – fixed everything you might not like about the Ami.
Instead of following the unpleasant facelift of the quadricycle released last year, the French firm has gone back to the style of the 1950s – a retro direction you're sure to love.
Here are the details: rectangular nose with chevron design, check; corrugated body panels, check; and cute silver steel rims, check check!
It was called Type-Ami, and it was included among other works of Caselani such as the modern Citroen H van, Fourgonette van, and Type HG. This variety of retro kits is popular with food trucks – perfect for artisan coffee sellers or espresso carts.
Let's go to the price. The entire Type-Ami kit – including the donor car – costs €11,390 (approx. ₱680k). If you already have an Ami, the Ikea-style kit can be purchased for €4,440 (₱265k) or €6,040 (₱360k) including assembly and paint.
Options include an open hood, leather interior, roof box, and six pastel colors. There are also metallic finishes such as grey, yellow, or green, as well as painted roof and rims for added style.
Magnifique, isn't it?
