AIAIAI and Brain Dead's collaboration shows that even though the United States and Denmark are far apart, they can still be together! Copenhagen-based audio brand AIAIAI and LA-based creative collective and lifestyle brand Brain Dead have partnered once again to reinvent their minimalist AIAIAI Tracks headphones.
This limited edition collaboration showcases the best from the two brands, combining AIAIAI's modular approach and Brain Dead's design aesthetic. The AIAIAI Tracks headphones are ultra-lightweight with modern minimalism, and have a simple yet durable frame made from a single piece of curved aluminum. The so-called "aluminum brace" frame has a central split and an adjustable system, providing a clean and simple design that is easy to use.
The on-ear headphones are wired, not wireless, and come with a 3.5mm angled stereo jack cable. Inside, it has 40mm speaker drivers that provide full-spectrum sound quality, tight bass, and clear high-frequency notes.
Brain Dead is known for its use of graphics and color, but in this collaboration, they chose to keep the design of the Tracks headphones minimal. They chose to paint the foam of the adjustable ear cups a golden yellow hue, and the branding is a small Brain Dead head logo on top of the translucent plastic covering. The frame of the headphones is unpainted aluminum and the cable is a natural, off-white color.
According to Frederik Jorgeson, co-founder of AIAIAI, "This collaboration is a perfect match for us," and they are excited to partner again after working together in 2018 to create a special audio technology.
AIAIAI x Brain Dead Tracks headphones are now available at HBX and both brands' retail stores.
