Yung Lean announced his next project via Instagram, titled "Jonatan"—an album born from his real name Jonatan Aron Leandoer Håstad. The album is set to be released worldwide this year.
The rapper chose to be brief in his Instagram post, which first appeared just before noon EST on Tuesday, January 21. He shared cover art directed by Drain Gang's Ecco2k, which shows a portrait of himself in the center.
"Jonatan the album. This spring. Art dir: @aloegarten," his caption stated. He also announced a new show in Stockholm on March 1, at the Avicii Arena.
"Jonatan" will be Lean's fifth studio album, and a year after his last project, "Psykos" with Bladee; it will also be the rapper's first solo LP since his "Stardust" in 2022. This year, Lean also appeared on the remix of Charli XCX's “360” with Robyn, and released "Shadowboxing."
While there is no specific release date yet, stay tuned for further updates from Hypebeast.
