Renowned Swiss manufacturer L’Epée 1839 introduced the Mechanical Watch Box at LVMH Watch Week, reimagining the way luxury timepieces are presented. Dubbed the "VIP lounge for your wristwatch," this creation possesses the mechanical mastery and aesthetic elegance to turn any watch into a masterpiece.
Encased in a transparent housing, the Watch Box serves as a stage for both the watch and the intricate craftsmanship of L'Epée 1839's in-house engineering. With the simple push of a button, the box moves: its lift system slowly opens and lifts the watch, providing an attractive display. When the lid is closed, the mechanism automatically rewinds, avoiding manual winding and ensuring smooth operation.a
Made from inox, acrylic glass and microfiber, the Watch Box is carefully finished with polished, satin and lacquered touches. Its visible gears and levers reflect the complication of high-end mechanical watches, making the box itself a masterpiece. Weighing 3.4 kg and measuring 215 mm long, 150 mm wide and 140 mm high, this functional sculpture embodies the expertise of L’Epée 1839 refined for over 180 years.
It has not been shared whether the box is a limited edition, but L’Epée has announced that the price of the box will be 9’900 CHF or approximately $12,000 USD. Stay tuned for more updates on LVMH Watch Week here.
