Japanese toy company TAKARA TOMY, under their high-end toy brand T-SPARK, has launched the latest product of their TOYRISE line, the "Eyeglasses Fighting Dog Melkia Military Specification" from the classic robot anime Armor Trooper. This item is expected to be released in September 2025.
The "Eyeglasses Fighting Dog" ATM-09-ST, a major AT developed by the Gilgamesh Army, was one of the most produced machines during the Hundred Years War. In the anime, Chitose isn't the only one driving it, but its high versatility has given way to a variety of derivatives used in many units. The Melkia Regular Army model has a purple color and has a high level of experience in its units, even though it is a standard ST model.
"TOYRISE Eyeglasses Fighting Dog Melkia Military Specification" is made in 1/48 scale and has a height of 8.5 cm. The model has purple and gray paint that reflects the Melkia military specification, as well as three rotating lenses, thick armor with many rivets, and various weapons.
With a new mechanism developed by TAKARA TOMY, this toy has excellent joints and mechanisms, even in a small size. Aside from basic movements such as the head and limbs with handheld weapons, it also includes the display of the cockpit and maintenance hatches that can be opened and closed, the rotating and sliding mechanism of the three-lens, the extendable armor fists, and the landing position of lower body. The cockpit has a detailed interior and is capable of housing a full-size soldier figure.
Weapons included include a parachute backpack for airborne troops, heavy machine gun, large-caliber pistol "Pentatrooper," and energy weapon "Log Gun" used against space battleships. These can be attached to various parts of the Eyeglasses Fighting Dog.
