At the Tokyo Auto Salon 2025, Toyota presented three distinct versions of the GR Yaris, each representing a unique vision for performance and innovation — the GR Yaris (NÜR 24h), M Concept, and Aero Package Prototype.
The GR Yaris NÜR 24h marks Toyota's return to the Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race after a six-year hiatus. Equipped with the new GAZOO Racing Direct Automatic Transmission, this model will be a participant under the combined TOYOTA GAZOO ROOKIE Racing (TGRR) team. The GR Yaris has undergone rigorous testing on Japanese roads and the renowned Nürburgring circuit throughout 2024, demonstrating Toyota's dedication to improving cars and drivers for extreme racing conditions.
To further push the GR Yaris platform, Toyota presented the GR Yaris M Concept. Equipped with a midship-mounted, turbocharged 2L inline 4-cylinder engine, this model reflects Toyota's “driver-first” philosophy. Designed for the Super Taikyu Series, the GR Yaris M Concept has gone through a thorough process of testing, repair, and improvement under racing conditions. Its development takes into account feedback from professional drivers and Morizo's passionate guidance.
The GR Yaris Aero Package Prototype is also an enthusiast favorite due to its modern aerodynamic upgrades. Developed with professional drivers, it has a variable rear wing and six performance-enhancing components, all designed to improve handling and stability. The bold design is further enhanced by the vertical handbrake option.
