BANDAI SPIRITS from the TAMASHII NATIONS collection has announced three new products from the anime 「Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX」: "Amate Yorube (Matsuri)", "Neon", and "Shuuji Ito", which are expected to be released in May 2025.
「Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuuX」, which is a new project from popular animation studios khara (Evangelion series) and SUNRISE (Gundam series), is set to launch with various media and merchandise in 2025. The anime is developed by a star-studded team, including Kazuya Tsurumaki (Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition), Ikuto Yamashita (mecha design), and scriptwriters Yoji Enokido and Hideaki Anno.
In addition, Pokemon Sword and Shield gym leader character designer Takeshi designed the characters. The main character Matsuri will be voiced by veteran voice actress Tomoyo Kurosawa, raising expectations for the quality of the anime.
Story of 「Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX」
The story revolves around Amate Yorube, a female high school student who lives in a space colony. While living in peace, he feels a strange sense of unreality. One day, he meets the young war refugee Neon, and unexpectedly, he becomes the pilot of the mysterious Mobile Suit “GQuuuuuuX”. Since then, he has been involved in an illegal MS duel competition called "Battle Corps Showdown", where he uses the alias Matsuri and competes in daily battles. At the same time, a young man named Shuuji, pilot of the mysterious Gundam MS, is being chased by the military and the police and suddenly appears in front of them.

The three main characters are made into Q-version chibi figures with a height of about 8-9 cm. The costume designs and vivid colors of Takeshi's creations are faithfully revealed. The shoulder and hip joints have slight movement, and poses can be changed with a replacement part. Figures of Matsuri and Shuuji come with mechanical companions such as "Haro" and "Kunchi" for display.
