Artisans de Genève introduced their latest bespoke project, the "AFRIKA" — a redesign of the Rolex GMT-Master II 116710 with a bold and vibrant style.
According to the client, "My watch takes me back to the Okonjati Wildlife Sanctuary and everything they do to protect the rhinos. AFRIKA means birthplace, mother of the land. A perfect name for a timepiece symbolizing life and freedom."
Inspired by this, the watch features a skeletonized movement, as well as a green ceramic world-time bezel with 24 cities and their respective time zones. The deep, natural green color is also present on the chapter ring and dauphine-shaped hands, while yellow gold accents are integrated into the open dial, creating a sophisticated palette that reflects the essence of Africa's nature.
