Bowers & Wilkins announced their collaboration with Volvo in September, where the British audio brand created custom car audio systems for the Swedish car maker.
Bowers & Wilkins deepened their partnership with a new step by collaborating with another renowned British audio brand, Abbey Road, to co-develop a new sound profile for their car audio systems. The technology will be launched in Volvo's seven-seater electric SUV, the EX90. The ‘Abbey Road Studios Mode’ is described by Bowers & Wilkins as an "innovative new sound technology designed to transform the in-car listening experience," bringing the signature sound of Abbey Road to the vehicles of its users.
To showcase how it sounds and how it was developed, the brands hosted an interactive experience at Abbey Road, the famous recording studio in London. Guests enjoyed a panel led by Jamz Supernova and a live performance from Ezra Collective.
Bowers & Wilkins and Abbey Road have collaborated for four decades, and they say their relationship has always been at the "forefront of audio innovation." Now, Volvo owners will benefit from their combined knowledge and expertise.
