You might think that vehicle concepts from science fiction movies would remain just that—concepts in films. However, the Rocket One, developed by EyeLights from France, brings future technology into reality! This electric concept bike, built based on the Triumph Rocket 3, not only features an intense design reminiscent of a jet engine but also integrates Augmented Reality (AR) and impressive performance data, making it what is called the "pinnacle of black technology" in the world of big bikes.
Let's start with the numbers: The Rocket One boasts 180 horsepower and an impressive 1200 Newton meters of peak torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds. It features a large battery, and according to official information, its range extends up to 400 kilometers. However, don't celebrate just yet, as these are "standard data" for concept vehicles, so they may change once it's on the road. Still, there's no denying that the EyeLights design team has created a blend of performance and art: a low body profile, Cafe Racer-inspired handlebar design, Brembo brake calipers, and a distinctive LED headlight that looks like something straight out of a science fiction film.
In addition to its impressive performance, the Rocket One also features the EyeRide heads-up display (HUD) system developed by EyeLights. With an OLED screen installed in the helmet, the rider can view information such as speed, battery charge, and driving modes directly within their helmet—a truly futuristic experience!
What's interesting is that EyeLights is not a company focused on making motorcycles, but rather a company specialized in helmet HUD and Bluetooth audio systems. The Rocket One acts as a "tech companion" to their products, showcasing their vision for the future through AR technology. Although the Rocket One is considered "production-ready," it is still uncertain whether it will be available on the market. From design to functional prototype, only three months have passed—an impressive speed, but there are still many tests and processes it must go through before it can be released to the market.
Even so, there's no denying that this vehicle has garnered significant attention from fans, and many are eagerly waiting for its release. For now, whether the Rocket One will actually hit the streets will require more patience—and perhaps a bit of a miracle.
Do you think the Rocket One could be your next dream motorcycle? Or do you think it's just a "concept car" that's difficult to reach?
