While Louis Vuitton's flagship store on 57th Street in New York undergoes a multi-year renovation, the iconic French fashion house has temporarily moved its main outpost in Manhattan to a stunning five-story Art Deco-inspired building across the street. The new space, regarded as a "cornerstone of retail, culture, and gastronomy," offers a modern and luxurious blend of fashion and culinary delights.
Here’s what to expect from the new layout:
- The first floor is dedicated to leather goods, showcasing Louis Vuitton's signature craftsmanship.
- The fourth floor features a chocolate shop and Le Café Louis Vuitton, marking the brand's first café in the United States.
- The fifth floor is dedicated to private retail lounges and homeware collections.
The café, which is already fully booked for the next two months, offers an exquisite culinary experience led by Christophe Ballanca and Mary George, under the guidance of chefs Arnaud Donckele and Maxime Frédéric, who also head the Louis Vuitton restaurant in Saint-Tropez. The menu features lobster and truffle ravioli with Monogram flower embossing, Damier tartlets, Croque sandwiches, LV-ified burgers, and much more. The café has 70 seats, including a main dining area, a bar, and a cozy reading alcove filled with over 600 books, which can also be purchased while dining.
Louis Vuitton's chocolate shop is also a first for the U.S. After its successful debut in Paris, Singapore, and Shanghai, Le Chocolat Maxime Frédéric brings classic chocolate bars, hazelnut bonbons, and even Vivienne music box chocolates to New York.
Although this space is temporary, it is designed to leave a lasting impression. Louis Vuitton's newest location in NYC will officially open on November 15, inviting visitors to experience a unique shopping experience.
