The company BANDAI SPIRITS, Hobby Division of Japan, will release the latest product from the 3D animated series 'Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance' — the 'HG 1/144 Gundam EX' — which is scheduled for release on October 19, 2024.
Before the release, the official company released new information such as the box art design and images of the actual product. The RX-78(G)E Gundam EX, designed by Gundam Ez8 designer Mikio Yamane, is one of the new RX-78 models developed by the Earth Federation Force during the One Year War. In the story, the Gundam EX was introduced to the European front in November of UC 0079.
To be used in deep reconnaissance missions and attacks behind enemy lines, the engine was enhanced for higher performance and longer operation time. Additionally, the Federation Force became the first to use powerful beam weapons such as the beam rifle and beam saber, which led to the devastating defeat of the Zeon forces led by the Zaku units. However, after the war, all information regarding this model was destroyed during the chaos, keeping it a secret."
The 'HG 1/144 Gundam EX' uses finer injection molding parts compared to earlier products, allowing for accurate representation of the high-density details designed by Yamane.
The armor, details of the shield’s interior, and the details of the shoulder-mounted Gatling gun and ammo box are accurately depicted. The weapons include a beam rifle, shield, and three beam sabers that can be deployed from the back of the model and positioned forward in a sword-drawing pose. The Gatling gun’s ammo belt is made from soft material, allowing the gun's position to be adjusted. Accessories also include stickers with various designs to represent the insignias and markings of different units across the Gundam’s body.
