For every three Octavia sold in Taiwan, one is an RS variant. As the flagship model of the Škoda RS family, it combines sporty performance and smart technology, becoming the flagship representative of the new generation of models.
The new Octavia RS is equipped with the EA888 2.0 TSI turbocharged engine, which can provide up to 265 horsepower and 37.8 kgm of maximum torque, which can reach from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and has a maximum speed of 250 km/ h, which shows strong performance. This engine is optimized from the previous generation with 245 horsepower, with the fuel injection pressure increased to 350 bar, and uses a new design of piston tops and crankshaft seals to prevent friction and fuel consumption, which is more improving performance and fuel efficiency.
In the exterior design, the new Octavia RS displays a unique sporty style, with RS-exclusive black elements such as the new RS logo, black radiator grille, mirror covers, window frames, rear spoiler, and 19-inch RS-exclusive wheels, which show dynamic and power, with a sharp contrast with the red brake calipers for a sportier look.
At the same time, the RS-exclusive front bumper and sporty exhaust tailpipe design, along with full LED tail lights, sequential turn signals, and home/away animation function, provide owners with a futuristic and avant-garde visual experience. In the interior, the new Octavia RS uses premium materials and sporty design, with suede sports seats with red stitching, and RS-exclusive carbon fiber trim, creating a dynamic cabin atmosphere. In addition, both front seats are equipped with eight-way power adjustment, with two memory and massage functions, to ensure that the driver and passengers enjoy the highest level of comfort.
Apart from the outstanding performance and exterior/interior design, the new Octavia RS contains many advanced driving assistance technologies, further improving driving control and safety.
