Habang ang traveling exhibition ng The 1916 Company na Icons of Time ay umabot na sa huling stop nito sa Hong Kong, nag-unveil ang De Bethune ng kanilang pinakabagong horological offering: ang DB28XP Steel Wheels Tourbillon.
Limited to just 10 examples, this spectacular timepiece is not only the latest addition to the independent watchmaker's iconic DB28XP collection — it is also a testament to the Maison's unparalleled commitment to craftsmanship and precision.
Housed in a 43mm case made of polished grade 5 titanium, the timepiece is light in the hand – weighing just 0.18 grams – and surprisingly thin, measuring 9.1mm thick. The center of the case has a titanium hour ring, decorated with a blued microlight decoration.
Inside, the DB2009v6 caliber is secured by a self-regulating twin barrel, providing the reference with an impressive 5-day power reserve. With a staggering frequency of 36,000 vph, Tim Mosso from The 1916 Company likened the movement to Zenith's El Primero.
To complete the DB28XP Steel Wheels Tourbillon, the watch comes with an alligator leather strap in the same blue color. For more details, visit De Bethune's official website.
