MINI introduced the all-new John Cooper Works (JCW) Electric at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, an important step in the brand's commitment to electrification. This all-electric model brings MINI performance into the electric era, with 190 kW (258 hp) of power and updated aerodynamics.
The MINI JCW Electric can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 125 mph, with 258 lb-ft of torque. Its 54.2 kWh battery provides a range of up to 230 miles, based on the WLTP test cycle, providing longer emission-free trips.
MINI engineers continue their motorsport roots with features such as race-inspired suspension, electric boost function for extra power, and driver-activated "go-kart mode" for a more exciting driving experience. This model has an aerodynamically optimized design, including exclusive 18-inch wheels and a unique red, white, and black color scheme as a tribute to MINI's racing heritage.
According to Stefan Richmann, Head of MINI, "We combine the tradition and character of the MINI brand with the latest technology to create a unique driving experience."
Besides the JCW Electric, MINI also launched the JCW Aceman, which has similar performance but a slightly slower 0 to 60 mph time of 6.4 seconds and a range of up to 220 miles, but is more spacious for passengers and cargo.
