Aston Martin has released the new DB12 “Goldfinger Edition” in celebration of 60 years of their partnership with the James Bond franchise. Inspired by the brand's first appearance in the movie Goldfinger in 1964, the DB12 Goldfinger Edition is limited to only 60 units.
Aston Martin's bespoke division, Q by Aston Martin, created this car that reflects Bond's legacy through luxurious design elements. The DB12 Goldfinger is presented in Silver Birch, the signature color of the iconic DB5. It has 21-inch multi-spoke wheels, gold side strakes, and an exclusive chrome “Q” badge. Inside, leather Sports Plus seats with a fluted pattern were used, inspired by Bond's signature suit. In addition, the gear selector and dials have 18k gold-plated accents, paying homage to the golden tracking device found in Goldfinger. Under the hood, the DB12 Goldfinger has a 4L V8 Twin-Turbo engine capable of producing 670 hp. The Bowers & Wilkins audio system will provide an immersive soundtrack experience.
As a tribute to Bond fans, the "eight of hearts" motif, seen in Goldfinger's Miami pool scene, can be seen embroidered on the driver's sun visor. Each car also comes with unique gifts such as a part Furka Pass film reel, a custom model in Silver Birch, and a vintage 2007 Bollinger Champagne set, all housed in a Globe-Trotter attaché case that replicates the car's design.
“The relationship between Aston Martin and the James Bond franchise is always treasured,” sabi ni Marco Mattiacci, Global Chief Brand Officer ng Aston Martin, na nagdagdag pa ng “This limited-edition celebrates the extraordinary legacy of our first Bond car with subtle, impactful touches.”
