Audio equipment brand Teenage Engineering teamed up with Sean Ono Lennon to create an immersive listening experience for John Lennon's 1973 album Mind Games. The result is an OB–4 bluetooth speaker featuring the original album, including 9 Meditation Mixes by Mind Games, an exclusive new Metronome, and 9 Mantras that users can change to their liking.
The OB-4 is a high fidelity speaker with creative tools like rewind, loop, and fast-forward. In a statement, Sean Ono Lennon said, “The idea of turning the Mind Games album into a game has turned into a fantastic limited edition speaker and radio that will allow you to modify John Lennon's classic album in ambient mode in a way that has never been done before. I really can't wait for people to try it!”
The former Beatles member remains a modern music icon who pushed the boundaries of the rock genre with an extensive catalog of experimental work and global hits.
The interactive album concept stems from Teenage Engineering's collaboration with the late designer Virgil Abloh, who put the sounds of traditional Ghanaian music into the disk mode of the OB–4 Off-White edition.
Mind Games OB–4 is a limited edition product only available from October 9-31 or while supplies last on Teenage Engineering's web store.
