Dinner is ready at Louis Vuitton. The famous French luxury fashion house has officially added to their products by presenting their first permanent tableware collection at a special fundraising gala attended by 200 guests at the exclusive Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte. According to a WWD report, the luxury brand launched two new sets of cutlery and glassware along with dinnerware sets.
Over the weekend, the chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, Pietro Beccari, organized this event for the International Friends of Vaux-le-Vicomte. Guests included American architect Peter Marino, film producer Christine Schwarzman, and La Comtesse Patrice de Vogüé. Last year, LV released a seasonal tableware collection that was used in their resort stores, restaurants, and cafés, but now, Louis Vuitton is ready to really enter the world of dinnerware collections.
Called Constellation and Splendor, the two collections consist of complete sets of porcelain, cutlery, glasses, carafes, and decanters. According to the house, the pieces are "designed for all moments of life, from everyday meals to special occasions." They added, "The graphic spirit of Monogram flowers in fine porcelain and handblown glass, together with the herringbone pattern in shimmering silver or the LV initials shining in fine gold, allow for each piece to combine the heritage of the maison in his modernity."
The Constellation collection of Limoges porcelain has a total of 13 pieces that reimagine the Monogram elements, while Splendor has 17 pieces with fun versions of the “L” and “V” branding. As for the cutlery line Rivet, it consists of 14 stainless steel pieces with a tubular shape. For the silver-plated Rivet Épi range, it features handles inspired by the design from “wheat fields rippling in the sun.” On the glassware side, Louis Vuitton offers twist glasses and Flower carafes in four colors of Murano glass. The Constellation and Rivet collections will arrive at LV boutique stores on October 31, while the Splendor and Rivet Épi will be released on November 14.
