Lotus Emira has added a new force to their lineup, the new Turbo SE model, which is the most powerful version in the current car series. The Turbo SE is the third model in the Emira family, following the 360-horsepower Turbo and 400-horsepower V6. The Turbo SE has more power and can go from 0-100 km/h in 4 seconds. Its maximum horsepower is 400, the same as the V6, but the maximum torque reaches 480 Newton meters.
The new Turbo SE is similar to the base model, powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine from AMG, but the difference is that the power has increased from 360 hp and 430 Nm of torque to 400 hp and 480 Nm of torque. That means it has the same maximum horsepower as the Emira V6, but the maximum torque is more than the V6's 420 Newton meters, resulting in a quicker and straighter acceleration response.
It is important to mention that the Turbo SE is specially equipped with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, whereas the Emira V6 model has only two options: a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. With the same horsepower and greater torque, the Turbo SE can go from 0 to 100 kilometers in 4 seconds, which is 0.3 seconds faster compared to the standard Emira Turbo. The car's top speed has also increased by 18 km/h, reaching 290 km/h.
Lotus equipped the Turbo SE with the "Lotus Drivers Pack" as standard, which included a sports suspension system, upgraded two-piece ventilated drilled brake discs, and launch control. Additionally, the model is equipped with exclusive 20-inch V-spoke forged gray wheels, zinc gray paint, Alcantara headlining, red brake calipers, new "Emira Turbo SE" logo, black Lotus logo, and black exhaust tailpipes tube for more it is easy to recognize by appearance.
According to Lotus, the "SE" in the new car's name is a nod to the "Special Equipment" package from earlier models, which appeared on the Type 14 Elite, Type 26 Elan, Elan SE Turbo, Lotus Cortina, and Elan S3. So far, three 2025 Emira models are already on sale in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa markets.
