Following the end of its partnership with Ye in October 2022, adidas is gradually clearing out their large remaining inventory of YEEZY products. Now, two years later, the Three Stripes seem to have reached the bottom of their stock: a few select YEEZY models have been spotted at adidas outlet stores priced as low as $30 USD (PHP 1,700).
In a video taken by @laced_heat at an adidas outlet in Niagra Falls, NY, the Yeezy QNTM and Yeezy BOOST 700 MNVN can be seen on the shelves priced at over 80% off their original price of $250 USD (PHP 14,000) and $220 USD (PHP 12,400). These models likely accumulated in the supply chain as they were not sold out in adidas' extensive YEEZY restocks and sales at the beginning of the year, and are now considered clearance products, albeit in smaller sizes.
It's good to note that the YEEZY line and Ye's fall from footwear stardom has been documented since before the partnership officially ended, and even after the shutdown, he continues to make a fortune from product sales. Still, it's surprising to see a line that used to make $1-2B USD annually — and even dominate aftermarket platforms — become a fixture in an outlet store alongside other fading adidas products.
Although the last vestiges of the partnership are fading away, Ye, for better or worse, has remained active in the footwear world over the past twelve months by releasing his popular $20 USD (PHP 1,125) YZY PODS slip-ons and, most recently, the removal of Steven Smith from Yeezy.
