Toyota has announced their newest Prius, the sportier XSE model. With the right balance of performance and efficiency, the XSE has a 220 hp hybrid system that can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds, while providing an estimated 52 combined MPG in hybrid mode.
A standout feature of the XSE is the 40-mile all-electric driving range powered by a 13.6 kWh lithium-ion battery. It can be the ideal choice for daily trips using electric mode, while still offering extended range for longer trips. The XSE has 19-inch alloy wheels, heated SofTex-trimmed power seats, and a standard 8-inch multimedia display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Drivers can also upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen, which provides seamless access to Toyota's cloud-based navigation and over-the-air updates. Enhanced safety is also ensured through Toyota's Safety Sense 3.0, with adaptive cruise control, lane departure alerts, and pedestrian detection.
As of the time of writing, no specifics have been revealed about the price and availability of the 2025 Toyota Prius XSE.
