Swiss luxury watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has launched two Royal Sapphire wristwatches. It's encased in a fully transparent sapphire crystal case, and it proudly displays the internals in two bold colorways: Ruby and Blue.
The process of making 44mm size sapphire watch cases is really complicated and expensive, as the material breaks easily during processing and polishing.
In the center of the sapphire case, Ulysse Nardin's UN-79 caliber can be seen. It consists of 209 parts and has a flying tourbillon, it is manual winding and provides up to 96 hours of power reserve. What really makes the transparent caliber stand out are the main plates and bridges made of colored spinel.
The watches are available at Ulysse Nardin, and come with a classic alligator leather strap, each priced at $328,300 USD (PHP 18,385,000).
