To expand their Royal Oak Concept series, Audemars Piguet has announced a new Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date model.
The case diameter measures 43 mm, and it showcases the brand's new colored forged carbon material, created using Chroma Forged Technology (CFT). The case is deep black mixed with blue luminescent pigments, bringing a visually mesmerizing contrast with its solid tones against the openworked dial. The inner bezel, subcounters, and rubber strap have a vibrant hue with electric blue touches, while the black ceramic bezel with AP's signature screws takes center stage.
On the technical side, this model is very complicated, as it has a flyback chronograph, split-seconds chronograph, 24-hour GMT, hours, minutes, small seconds, and large date functions. All of this is powered by AP's self-winding Caliber 4407, which runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and has 70 hours of continuous time.
The Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date is priced at $206,800 USD and is now open for inquiry at Audemars Piguet.
