Kai Clements' solo exhibition of Kai and Sunny is just around the corner, and he gave a sneak peek at another part of the long-awaited showcase. Clements teamed up with Element Skateboards to create two stunning skate decks.
The decks come in a captivating all-blue colorway and include a limited-edition silkscreen print. Different shades of blue make up the body of the deck, and Clements' signature fine lining can be seen spiraling around the silhouette. The design used by Clements for his Spirited Away work can also be seen on the decks, while the back is white and has cobranded hits and signage from Clements. According to an Instagram post from Clements, Spirited Away has been planned for a long time and will bring a "whole new dimension" to the artist's works.
Get a deck at Kai and Sunny's official website and at Corey Helford Gallery (CHG) in Los Angeles. Spirited Away will feature 25 works from Clements and opens Saturday, September 21, in CHG's Main Gallery.
