In April, President Joe Biden signed a law banning TikTok in the US unless Chinese owner ByteDance agrees to sell it to a third party. TikTok responded by filing a lawsuit against the US government.
There is another case filed by a group of content creators on the platform. They are both asking the court to block the implementation of the "ban or sell" law.
The following month, it was announced that the federal appeals court would hear the case in September. The case will be brought to court on Monday morning and will be heard before three jurors. Lawyers from both sides were present. The case is expected to reach the US Supreme Court.
