To welcome autumn, Grand Seiko presents its latest collection of novelties watches. This unveiling includes four new watches, including a Spring Drive, a Hi-Beat 3600, and two 45GS Re-Creation limited editions.
Spring Drive 5 Days SLGA025 “Atera Blue”
Priced at $10,500 USD, the SLGA025 is the latest addition to Grand Seiko's Evolution 9 Collection. Inspired by the Atera River in a valley in Nagano prefecture – where the Spring Drive timepieces are made – the SLGA025 features an emerald-blue textured dial that reflects the clear, flowing waters of the Atera Valley. With a 40mm case size, the watch is made of high-intensity titanium with a metal bracelet. It has an impressive 120-hour power reserve, and the watch's engine is powered by the Spring Drive 5 Days 9RA2 caliber.
Hi-Beat 36000 SBGH347 “Icefall”
Included in the Grand Seiko Heritage Collection, the SBGH347 has a new dial pattern that shows a view of Mount Iwate's frozen Nantaki waterfall in winter. Dubbed “Icefall,” this new pattern reflects the dynamism of frozen motion, while its bluish-white color provides a cold atmosphere. Powered by the Hi-Beat 9S85 caliber, the watch has a 55-hour continuous run at 36,000 hourly vibrations. It has a stainless steel case, has a polished finish, and comes with a steel bracelet. Its price is $6,900 USD.
Re-creation ng 45GS Limited Editions: SLGW004, SLGW005
Set for release in November, these two limited-edition 445GS re-creations are being announced as a tribute to the two original variants introduced in 1968. Although the look of the new watch echoes the vintage elegance of the originals, there are technical improvements to meet the needs of modern users. Both watches are powered by the manual-winding 9SA4 caliber, a high-frequency movement with an 80-hour power reserve.
Limited to 200 pieces, the SLGW004 has an 18k yellow-gold case with a cream-colored dial and is priced at $30,000 USD. As for the SLGW005, it has a stainless steel case with an off-white dial. Priced at $9,700 USD, this color is limited to 1,300 pieces.
