At this year's Monterey Car Week, Porsche wowed fans by revealing a bespoke 911 Speedster, produced under the brand's exclusive Sonderwunsch program. The vehicle, which took more than three years to create, was the vision of Italian designer and Speedster collector Luca Trazzi.
Trazzi, who was an avid Porsche fan, sought to fill the gap in his extensive Speedster collection by designing a 993-generation Speedster—a model that was never part of regular Porsche production. Working closely with Porsche's Sonderwunsch team, Trazzi transformed a 1994 911 Carrera Cabriolet into his dream car.
The result is a carefully crafted one-off, featuring striking “Otto Yellow” paint, named after Trazzi's dog, and incorporating stylistic elements from previous Speedster models. The vehicle has a redesigned rear lid, black Turbo-design wheels, and a retro-inspired interior, adorned with black leather and yellow checkered center seats.
Under the hood, the Speedster is powered by a 3.8L engine from the 911 Carrera RS (Type 993), which delivers 300 hp. This unique model was created to showcase Trazzi's design skills and also to showcase Porsche Sonderwunsch's extensive customization capabilities, marking a new level of bespoke automotive craftsmanship for the program.
