Mercedes-AMG has officially opened orders for the new CLE 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet, following the presentation of its Coupe model at the end of 2023. Like the coupe, the Cabriolet aims to be an entry-level performance vehicle for the brand, with prices starting at $98,500 USD.
The CLE 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet features a powerful 3.0L six-cylinder in-line engine, which puts out 449 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, with an additional boost of 23 hp and 151 lb-ft of torque from the integrated starter generator. The vehicle has AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission and fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. Notably, the Cabriolet can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.4 seconds.
Standard equipment includes AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with adaptive damping and active rear-axle steering. The vehicle also has a 17.2-gallon fuel tank, which improves its driving range. Exterior features include 19-inch AMG ten-spoke light-alloy wheels with aerodynamic optimization and a high-sheen finish.
Inside, the CLE 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet offers ARTICO man-made leather and MICROCUT microfiber upholstery, with red seat belts and high-gloss carbon fiber trim. For further customization, options include leather and nappa leather upholstery, with an embossed AMG crest on the front head restraints.
Mercedes-AMG offers a variety of optional packages to enhance the driving experience and aesthetic appeal. The AMG DYNAMIC PLUS package, priced at around $2,330 USD, includes the RACE driving program with drift mode, race start function and MICROCUT microfiber AMG Performance steering wheel. Other options include the AMG Styling Package, AMG Exterior Carbon Packages I/II and the MANUFAKTUR spectral blue magno paint. Additional features available include the Burmester 3D Surround Sound System, AMG Real Performance Sound and AMG TRACK PACE for those looking for extra customization.
The vehicle is available for order now through authorized dealers or online configurators.
